Monobrain — The System
The system that sets these pages, published as a page.
Two inks and one warmth. A mark that is a circle and a one. Three type registers. Eleven sigils. One grammar — every component on this site is named below.
The inks
Two inks, one warmth, no accent.
- --ink#0a0a0bthe field — matches the fresco duotone black point
- --paper#e9e7e2the text, and the flip-side field — the duotone paper point
- --warm#f7f1e4pull lines, the cursor, named things — the breath, not the atmosphere
- --chalk#dcdad4every drawn line: the mark, the sigils
- --dim#98968fsecondary voice
- --faint#5c5b58eyebrows, captions, metadata
- --line#232322hairlines inside content — never between sections
The mark
A circle that is also a one.
The mono circle is always caught mid-turn at sixty degrees — the same pose as the monolex torus. Monolex turns it toward you; monobrain spins it on its axis. Zero and one are drawn the same height: the rotation identity is exact.
The registers
Three voices, one page.
What returns is you, reflected through the pattern of everyone.
The human voice: a text serif with optical sizes, reading register 19–20px at 1.5, display at weight 400 and below — bigger means lighter.
Variable · opsz 6–72 · wght 200–800 · OFL

Variable · wght 100–800 · the Brick — 600 × N · never paragraphs
rounded ink, drawn not typeset · lowercase only · gradient sweep toward the dark — the family fade
The sigils
Eleven glyphs, each from its own house metaphor.

The grammar
The components, named.
- The plateone framed artifact per page family — the mind plate, the fresco carried as a brain
- The exhibita framed demonstration; the one place color may appear, quarantined
- The shelfruled index rows: sigil, title, one line, the entry speaking, meta
- The ledgertwo- or three-column mapping rows — principle to implementation
- The terma terminal card carrying only real, recorded output
- The pullone line, large, warm — the essay speaking for itself
- The eyebrowmono, tracked, uppercase — where you are
- The numbersonly counted things, each citable, nothing else
- The outrothe wordmark flooding the frame, fading toward the dark
Rules the grammar keeps: sections separate by whitespace, never by rules; hairlines live inside content; one signature moment per page; masses close only through U-turns inside an open stroke; whole figures never close.
